Lyophilization

DRAXIS Pharma’s lyophilization suite was constructed to meet the increasing demand for outsourced lyophilized (freeze-dried) pharmaceutical and biotechnology products. Since it’s completion in 1998, this facility has been inspected and approved by FDA, EMEA, Heatlh Canada and other regulatory agencies for a number of therapeutic and diagnostic products. The DRAXIS Pharma lyophilization facility is designed with:

• Integrated high speed filling line and robotic loading system means accelerated freezing time, minimized product degredation  and reduced risk of microbial contamination.
  
  
• Two state of the art BOC/Edwards designed and installed lyophilizers with production capacity of 374 ft² of freeze-drying shelf space (120 and 254 ft²).
  
  
• Semi-automated inspection of vials for quality assurance.
